Efficient distributed software development – best practices and pitfalls

Tag und Uhrzeit:
Mittwoch, 06. Mai 2009 - 15.15 - 16.15 Uhr Raum Paris

Inhalt:
Although Team System offers great support for the distributed development, every team is confronted with many challenges while organizing their distributed development environment and process. Even after infrastructure is up and running, there are many pitfalls to be avoided when you define your future standard work procedures. In the session we will discuss the best and worst practices in a range of “soft skills” topics like team dynamics, communication patterns, project management and development process applied to the distributed team and the distributed development environment. The last year’s session covered most of relevant TFS related infrastructure topics. Building on that, this year we will discuss a number of advice on how to successfully run or be a part of a Team System based distributed development team.
