Abstract: It’s a fact: even if SharePoint has become one of the major platforms for development of business solutions, those solutions are often considered to be different - they are considered to be developed differently, that they don't follow commonly accepted architecture practices, and that automated testing is not possible.
Solution architecture directly impacts all of the following steps of the ALM cycle: development, testing, quality assurance and deployment. This session will show that SharePoint solutions do not necessarily need to be different: it will show how to make the SharePoint architecture on such a way, that those solutions follow all established and accepted architecture patterns and practices (MVC, MVP), thus enabling quality development, unit testing, and implementing common quality assurance techniques.
Audience: This session is intended for all SharePoint solution architects and developers, who would like to improve the quality of solutions they build, but also for project managers and business analysts, who would like to find out how the architectural decisions crucially impact the whole application lifecycle.
Adis Jugo
is a software architect with over 15 years of experience. He has first met
SharePoint (and Microsoft CMS server) back in 2002, and since 2006 his focus
was completely shifted towards architecture and development of solutions based
on the SharePoint technology.
Adis is working as a Managing Consultant for the Germany-based Microsoft Gold Partner, PlanB. GmbH. He is also a speaker at various conferences, including ShareConf, Microsoft WinDays, Microsoft DevDays/TechDays, Microsoft Network, as well as at meetings of the various Microsoft User Groups.
Adis likes to keep his free time really free, since there isn't much of it. He prefers spending it with his family, especially with his 2 years old son - answering his questions is sometimes a bigger challenge than creating SharePoint solutions.
Adis' SharePoint blog, with the topics which are covering SharePoint architecture, development, planning and governance can be found at http://adisjugo.com
